We offer a small-school atmosphere with big-school opportunities: arts, activities and a dedicated staff, to mention a few. In a quiet rural setting, PFHS focuses on academics, the arts and all-around wellness. We offer a comprehensive personalized learning environment as teachers implement assessment-driven and small group instruction frameworks. Community members volunteer while active parents plan events, and raise funds. Dedicated music, art and physical education specialists help make the most of each day. The PFHS offers an outstanding education to students with diverse needs. Like the community of Prairie Farm, our schools combine the small town values of hard work and friendship with a modern viewpoint. We are preparing our students to take part not only in our small community, but in our ever-changing world.

We strive to developing 21st Century competencies by supporting students with the technology and opportunities that will enhance inquiry skills, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Students in grades 9-12 will have access to 1:1 technology providing for more opportunities for project-based learning. We utilize our technology resources to enhance the learning environment. Each classroom is outfitted with a Smart board and various other technology enhancements. Our updated computer lab, mobile Ipad and laptop carts provide exceptional learning tools.

PFHS curriculum incorporates experiences that build students' skills in critical thinking, problem solving, questioning strategies, reasoning, and creative expression. As stated above our goal is to prepare our students for an ever-changing world and we don’t let the four walls of our building limit that.

PFHS has all-school events for parents and community members such as Open House, Homecoming, Winter Carnival, Student Showcases, End of the Year Celebration, and Student Concerts. Our students also participate in many athletic and co-curricular offerings throughout the year.
