Wisconsin Cattlemen's Student Scholarship Program

Scholarship amounts vary. 

Scholarships are available to any high school senior enrolled or planning to enroll in any university, technical college, community college in the United States, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Program.  Must have a background in the beef, veal, or dairy industry. Applicants must be a resident of Wisconsin. Preference may be given to WCA member’s children and grandchildren and WCA junior members.

Educators Credit Union Scholarship

$2,000

35 scholarships may be awarded

Be a member at Educators Credit Union for at least one year. Be enrolled in a Dane, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha County high school. Students participating in a home-based educational program, privately operated correspondence or virtual school must reside in the qualifying counties listed above. Applicants attending these programs must also provide proof of enrollment with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (form PI-1206) for the 2019-2020 school year, ACT or SAT scores, and any records relating to curriculum and academic progress.Be eligible for graduation at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.  Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of first-semester senior year. Be accepted to an accredited college or technical school at the time of award. Show a demonstration of one of the core values of Educators Credit Union.

River Country CO-OP Scholarship Funds

Amounts range from $20-$500

Open to any River Country Co-Op member and their children.  Any high school senior. college student, or non-traditional student in either a two or four year accredited college or University.  Any area of study is accepted, but Agronomy -related is preferred.

WISA Scholarship Opportunity

One $1,500 Youth Scholarship will be awarded to a son/daughter of an active-duty

police department member and one to a son/daughter of an active-duty fire department

Member. 

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and not older than 20. He or she must be a graduating high school senior who will receive a diploma from an accredited high school. Home schooled students and students attending military or boarding schools are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be accepted for admission to an accredited college or university, matriculating the following year. Each eligible student must have a father, mother or natural guardian who meets the following qualifications: a. Parent must be a full-time paid member of the police or sheriff’s department or fire department. Parent/guardian may also be a volunteer member of a fire department. b. Parent or guardian must be an active duty police officer, firefighter, paramedic, or EMT (public sector). Children of administrative staff do not qualify. c. Children of DHS, FBI and other Federal employees do not qualify. d. Children of reserve officers, part-time sheriff’s deputies and retired, or deceased employees do not qualify.

2020 Jennie-O Turkey Store Continuing Education Scholarship

$6,000 Golden Excellence Scholarships 

Must be a graduating high school senior.  Must be the child* of a full-time Jennie-O Turkey Store (or West Central Turkeys) Team Member. Must have a “B” grade point average or better, and have an ACT/SAT score. Can major in any field and must plan to attend a four-year college full time to obtain a bachelor's degree (it is acceptable for an applicant to attend a two-year community/junior college with plans to transfer to a four-year college). Recipient selection is based primarily on academics while taking into consideration college/career objectives, written essay, and letters of recommendation. Scholarship payments are made in $1,500 increments for four years. Five years can be used to collect the scholarship dollars. The initial scholarship payment will be made upon receiving proof of enrollment from the educational institution to be attended by the scholarship recipient.  To receive the scholarship on a continuing basis, recipients must maintain a “B” grade point average or better. Recipients who do not maintain a “B” grade point average are paid a lesser amount based on their grade point average. Jennie-O Turkey Store reserves the right to terminate any scholarships awarded at its discretion.

$1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships 

Applicants must be employed by Jennie-O Turkey Store (or West Central Turkeys); OR be the child* of a Jennie-O Turkey Store (or West Central Turkeys) Team Member. Up to three of these 50 scholarships are earmarked for children* of our contract/independent growers who meet the scholarship criteria. Applicants can attend any college or vocational-technical college and can major in any area. Must carry at least 6 credits per semester. Part-time students (less than 12 credits per semester) are only eligible for a $500 scholarship in one year. Recipient selection is based on an overall evaluation of academics, written essay, and letters of recommendation. Jennie-O Turkey Store reserves the right to terminate any scholarships awarded at its discretion.

Others requirements for both include:  

To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must meet both of the following criteria: 1) live with the Team Member AND the Team Member provides the majority of his/her financial support OR if the applicant does not live with the Team Member, the Team Member will need to provide documentation that he/she provides the majority of the applicant’s financial support; 2) applicant must be related to the Team Member in one of the following ways: natural born child, legally adopted child, stepchild, or the Team Member is the legal guardian of the applicant. In cases of legal adoption, legal guardianship, and stepchild relationships, legal documentation will be required to verify eligibility. If documentation is not included, the application will be deemed ineligible.

Health Career Scholarship Application

To any qualifying graduating senior entering into a healthcare related field in the Prairie Farm School District.

Barron Electric Cooperative-Barron Electric's 2019 Scholarship Program

$1,000

Graduating seniors attending a designated high school within the Barron Electric Cooperative service area whose guardians are current members of Barron Electric Cooperative. Seniors must plan to attend an institution of post-secondary education.  The fourteen designated high schools include: Barron, Birchwood, Cameron, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, Clayton, Clear Lake, Cumberland, Hayward, New Auburn, Prairie Farm, Rice Lake, Shell Lake, Spooner and Turtle Lake.

Barron County Sheriff’s Department Mark Olson Memorial Scholarship 322

$500

Any Barron County High School senior may apply. Preference will be given to those seniors seeking post-secondary training in a law enforcement related field.

Duggy Nelson Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship amounts vary.

Applicant must be a Barron County resident or student enrolled in a Barron County school, enrolling in a college or vocation/technical school in a course of study leading to a two or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or law enforcement-related (which doesn’t include law school), EMT, or paramedic field is eligible.

Wisconsin BankersFoundation Scholarship

$2,000

This scholarship program is open to all graduating high school seniors who will be furthering their education at a Wisconsin state-accredited college, university, or state-operated technical school. Applicants may plan to enroll on a full- or part-time basis, but must show proof of enrollment for a minimum of eight (8) credits. Note: students planning to attend a government military academy or privately run trade school are not eligible to apply.

Barron County Farm Bureau Scholarship

$250 

3 scholarships may be awarded

This scholarship is open to all students with preference given to students from Farm Bureau families. This scholarship will be based on the student’s past school and community activities, plans for future education and recommendation from a teacher.  The winning students will be presented with a certificate of scholarship this spring and the scholarship will be awarded after the student has completed one session of college or vocational school and has provided our office with a transcript with at least a 2.0 grade point average.

Office Michael Baribeau Memorial Scholarship

Up to $5,000 available 

Applicants must be graduating from a Rusk or Barron County High School, any student currently enrolled at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, or any student currently enrolled at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire-Barron County Campus. Applicants must comply with the admission requirements for a full-time student in a Police Science or Criminal Justice program at a vocational/technical school or college.

Dunn County Dairy Promotion Committee Scholarship

$500

Applicant must be enrolled or preparing to enroll, in a post-secondary education. (4 -ear college; 2-year technical college or a 9-month Farm Short Course.)  Applicant must be a resident of Dunn County. Applicant must live on a dairy farm or work for a dairy farmer. Applicant must hold or be nearing successful completion of a high school diploma or GED. Photo of applicant for publicity must be submitted with this application. The applicant acknowledges the Dunn County Dairy Promotion Committee’s right to publish applicant’s name and photo in publicity materials.

Emmans Memorial Scholarship

$2,500

The applicant must: Have been a registrant in the Boy Scouts of America for a minimum 3 year period during high school and currently reside in the Chippewa Valley Council. Be a graduating high school senior and an entering post-secondary school freshman in the

year he/she is applying for a scholarship. Example: 2020 grants are awarded only to high

school seniors graduating in 2020.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship

Two $2,000 and three $1,000

 Interested candidates must possess extracurricular accomplishments and inspirational goals.  Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institute of higher education located in the United States. (This includes Art Therapy).  All applicants must be a U.S. citizen. Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

Ab Nicholas Scholarship

$10,000 scholarship available for four-year program, $5,000 scholarships available for two-year programs. 

Applicants must be a resident of Wisconsin and attend a public or private high school. Applicants must participate in the schools basketball program in their senior year. Applicants must also plan to attend a University of Wisconsin System school.

2020 Wisconsin Towns AssociationScholarship Program

$1,000

Two scholarships may be awarded, one each to the highest ranking boy and girl from a town or village insured by Rural Mutual Insurance Company as of May 1, 2020.

Five scholarships may be awarded to the top five additional students

All applicants must graduate from a  Wisconsin public or private high school in 2020 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or University in 2020.

PB&J Scholarship

Open to all college-bound seniors at Prairie Farm High School and who are going to attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in fall 2020
