Dreamers of Wisconsin Scholarship 

Two $10,000 scholarships available

Applicants must be Undocumented/Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals/Temporary Protected Status. Grade Point Average is NOT required, applications will be reviewed holistically. Applicants must provide an official academic transcript. Applicants must submit proof of enrollment (continuing students) or proof of admission (incoming freshman) for the two- or four-year Wisconsin institution they will be attending in the Fall of 2022. Applicants must provide two signed letters of recommendation. One letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your academic accomplishments. One letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your leadership abilities, work ethic, and overall character.

Mayo Clinic Health Systems Scholarship

$1,000 

Scholarship available to a senior graduating from Prairie Farm High School who plans to continue their education in a healthcare related field.

Manufacturing Works Scholarship

Five $500 scholarships available

Applicants must be a current high school senior eligible for graduation in 2022. Applicants must plan on attending Northwood Technical College, Chippewa Valley Technical College, or University of Wisconsin-Stout in a manufacturing program as a full-time student for the 2022-2023 school year. Preference will be given to Advanced Manufacturing Skills Gap Careers, examples include welding, machine tool, quality engineer, manufacturing engineer, and electromechanical/industrial maintenance.

Heart of the North Builders Association Scholarship

$500

Applicants must be a graduating senior who is from any one of the schools within Barron and Rusk Counties. Applicants must be seeing post-high school education in any one of, but not limited to, the following fields related to the construction industry: construction management, residential construction, cabinet making, architecture, drafting, engineering, building trades, interior design, landscape design, or other trades relating to the construction industry.

Barron Electric Cooperative Scholarship 

Two $1,000 scholarship available 

Applicants can be any graduating senior attending a designated high school within the Barron Electric Cooperative service area whose parents or guardians are members of Barron Electric Cooperative and who plans to attend an institution of post-secondary education. Students whose relatives are directors, employees, or former employees/directors of Barron Electric Cooperative do not qualify. The fourteen designated high schools include: Barron, Birchwood, Cameron, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, Clayton, Clear Lake, Cumberland, Hayward, New Auburn, Prairie Farm, Rice Lake, Shell Lake, Spooner, and Turtle Lake.

Barron County Farm Bureau

$250

This scholarship is open to graduating high school students or college students from Barron County who are enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical college with preference given to students from Farm Bureau families. This scholarship will be based on the student’s past school and community activities, plans for future education, and recommendation.

Duggy Nelson Memorial Scholarship

Amounts vary. 

Applicant must be a BArron County resident or student enrolled in a BArron County school, enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two- or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or law enforcement-related (which does not include law school), EMT, or paramedic field is eligible.

Maxine Wiesner Scholarship 

Amount unknown 

The Maxine Wiesner Scholarship is available to any high school senior that has been involved in theatre activities during their high school or grade school years.

Barron County Deputy Sheriff’s Association Scholarship 

Two $250 Scholarships 

This scholarship is available to any Barron County high school senior seeking post-secondary education. Preferences will NOT be given based on a specific area of student. All are encouraged to apply.

Office Michael Barbeau Memorial Scholarship 

Up to $5,000

On December 19, 1995, Officer Michael Baribeau was killed in the line of duty while proudly serving the citizens of Barron and Rusk Counties. This annual scholarship has been established due to the generous contributions from individuals and businesses and will be awarded to a high school, technical, or college student seeking a degree in Criminal Justice or Police Science. Applicants must comply with the admission requirements for a full-time student in a Police Science or Criminal Justice program at a vocational/technical school or college.

Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship

Up to $3,000 available 

The family of Carrie Stuckert has created the Dream Pool Foundation, a non-profit organization providing assistance to individuals pursuing education in the visual arts. Interested candidates must possess extracurricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States. (This includes Art Therapy Programs). All applicants must be United States citizens. Recipients will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

Ab Nicholas Scholarship 

Good at any University of Wisconsin System school 

$10,000a year for four-year programs 

$5,000 a year for two-year programs

Renewable each year, for a total of $40,000/$10,000

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation offers scholarships based on need, academic achievement, and character for high school senior basketball players and managers, both boys and girls, who plan to attend the University of Wisconsin school system.

Lift Parts Express Scholarship

$500

To be eligible for the Lift Parts Express Scholarship you must be a current senior in high school, a legal resident of the U.S., and enrolled or expected to be enrolled by the Fall of 2022. You need to submit a completed online application at Lift Parts Express Scholarship

Vintage Voyagers Scholarship 

Up to $500 available 

The Vintage Voyagers Street Rods of Chetek, WI, offer a scholarship to any high school senior attending Northwood Technical College or any other technical college after high school graduation. Field of continued education needs to be auto related (auto body or auto mechanics), or graphic design.

LM Scholarship Program

$500

The LM Scholarship Program gives their scholarship to a deserving student who is currently enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September 2022. You must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a United States resident attending a school in the U.S. Along with the application, there is an essay question asking about a situation you or someone you know who has been involved in a situation where better safety procedures would have prevented injury, that must be completed prior to the submission deadline. Odenza Vacations College Scholarship

$500

To be eligible for the Odenza Vacations College Scholarship you must be between the ages of 17 and 24 on September 1, 2022, have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, and be a resident of the United States or Canada. You must also submit an answer to their essay question prior to the May 1, 2022 deadline. The winner will be announced 6 weeks after the deadline and will be posted on the website. Wisconsin Towns Association Scholarship Program 

$1000

All applicants must graduate from a Wisconsin public or private high school in 2022 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2022. Essays will be judged independently on originality and subject matter in relationship to the topic. “What can Wisconsin’s leaders do to increase young adult interest in serving on a town board?” The essays must contain correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Judging will be completed by August 12, 2022. Recipients will be announced by August 26, 2022. Proof of enrollment in a Wisconsin public or private college is required to receive a scholarship.

PB & J Scholarship 

Up to $1,000 available 

This annual scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. With no Grade Point Average requirement, students are encouraged to apply as this scholarship is meant to be inclusive. Applicants must be a current high school senior and plan on attending a two- or four-year college next school year.
