Compeer Financial Offers Scholarships to High School Seniors
The Fund for Rural America, Compeer Financial’s corporate giving program, is offering 41 scholarships to Wisconsin students this year. Graduating high school seniors who have an agriculture or rural background, or plan to major in an agriculture-related field at a community college, university or technical school are encouraged to apply between now and March 15.
Each scholarship recipient will receive $1,500 for educational tuition expenses. Qualified applicants must be graduating seniors who live in Compeer Financial’s 144-county territory and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Recipients will be selected based on a combination of academic achievement; agricultural, community and youth organization involvement; and essays.

Prairie Farm Area Lions
The Prairie Farm Area Lion’s Club will be offering scholarships of $500.00 each to qualifying seniors who will graduate in 2023 from the Prairie Farm and Barron High Schools. At least one member of the Prairie Farm Area Lions will work with each school district to assist in the selection and presentation of the awards.
The scholarship may be used to assist in financing education and training for full-time students at Colleges and Universities, Technical Schools, and private, or approved educational training programs that offer an Associate Degree.

Mosaic Technologies – 2023 Scholarship
Mosaic Technologies takes great pride in helping equip the next generation to make the world a better place through higher education financial support. Must reside in the Mosaic service area, submit an essay, and a senior picture. Apply online here.

Barron County Master Gardener Horticulture Scholarship
Must be in a horticulture program – landscape design, turf management or
general program. Must be a Barron County high school senior or have graduated from a Barron
County high school and are attending an accredited 2- or 4-year school. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Should be or have been an active participant in school and community activities. Mayo Health Systems Healthcare Scholarship
Mayo Clinic Health System is committed to supporting the continuing education of students within our communities. To show our commitment for promoting health careers, we will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from your high school who plans to continue their education in a health care related field.

Jennie-O Scholarship
For 2023, Jennie-O is offering more than $60,000 in scholarships. Below are the scholarships available, along with information and eligibility requirements for each. The application deadline is March 10, 2023. Applications must be received by a Jennie-O locational office, emailed to [email protected], or postmarked on or before the application deadline. Barron Spotlighters Scholarship
Every year the Barron Spotlighters honors our founder, Maxine Wiesner, by providing a scholarship to at least one deserving youth in our area. If you would like to be considered for the Maxine Wiesner Scholarship, please download the application file using the link below, fill out the application and return it using the instructions contained in the application. We do not start accepting applications for the scholarship until February of the current year, which is when the application link will be updated with the current application document.

Officer Michael Baribeau Memorial Scholarship
Amount: Up to $5000
On December 19, 1995, Officer Michael Baribeau was killed in the line of duty while proudly serving the citizens ofBarron and Rusk counties. This annual scholarship has been established due to the generous contributions from individuals and business and will be awarded to a high school, vocational or college student seeking a degree in Criminal Justice or Police Science.
Elgibilty: Any student graduating from a Rusk or Barron County High School, any student currently enrolled at WITC, or any student currently enrolled at UW-Eau Claire - Barron County Campus. 1. Application must comply with the admission requirements for a full-time student in a Police Science or Criminal Justice program at a vocational/technical school or college.

2023 Wisconsin Towns Association Scholarship
Amount: Two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the students with the highest-ranking essay score from a town or village insured by Rural Mutual Insurance Company as of May 1, 2023. Five (5) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the top five additional students with the highest ranking essay scores.
Your thoughts – combined with your writing skills and creativity – can put you in line to receive one of seven scholarships. Rural Mutual Insurance Company, Wisconsin Towns Association, and Scott Construction, Inc. are again offering the following scholarships to winners of an essay contest. Scholarships will be awarded on the following basis:
All applicants must graduate from a Wisconsin public or private high school in 2023 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2023. Essays will be judged independently on originality and subject matter in relation to the topic. The essays must also contain correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Judging will be completed by August 11, 2023. Recipients will be announced by August 25, 2023. Proof of enrollment in a Wisconsin public or private college is required to receive a scholarship. Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship
Amount: One $5,000 award, Two $2000 awards, three $1000
The mission of the Dream Pool Foundation, Inc. is to provide financial support for post secondary education students pursuing a degree in the visual arts. Visual arts bring richness to our lives. This foundation will foster growth within the art community and encourage students who might otherwise find art education financially impossible.
Eligibility: Interested candidates must possess extra-curricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States. (This includes Art Therapy Programs). All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Recipients will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

Duggy Nelson Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $750
Eligibility: Applicant must be a Barron County resident or student enrolled in a Barron County school, enrolling in a college or vocation/technical school in a course of study leading to a two or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or law enforcement-related (which doesn’t include law school), EMT, or paramedic field is eligible.

River Country Co-Op Scholarship
Amount: 15 $500
Eligibility: Open to any River Country Co-op member and their children. Any high school senior, college student, or non-traditional student in either a two or four year accredited college or University. Any area of study is accepted, but Agronomy-related is preferred. Award criteria:: Academic record of student. Social and community activities. Completion of application.

Barron Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Amount: 2 $1000 scholarships
Eligibility:Student must be a graduating senior attending a designated high school*. Student's guardians/parents must be active members of Barron Electric Cooperative. Must plan to attend a University/ College/Technical Institution. Students whose relatives are directors or employees of Barron Electric Cooperative do not qualify.
Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on the student’s ability, leadership service, and cooperation as a student and within the community. Scholarship applications will be collected (using a standardized application form) by the high school’s guidance office. Applications will be evaluated, ranked, and selected by the high school’s scholarship committee. Students who rank in the top 6-25% of their class will be given first priority. The American Legion Oratorical Contest Program
The American Legion has an Oratorical contest program that is a good opportunity for students to win scholarship monies. The student must be in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. The students start out by contacting their local Wisconsin American Legion Post. The Post will hold a contest, the winner at the Post contest moves on to a County contest. The winner of the County contest moves on to the District contest. The winner of the District Contest moves on to the Regional contest scheduled on February 11, 2023 at Ripon College. The winners at the Regional level move on to the Finals contest the same day and the overall winner will go to the National Contest in Indianapolis, Indiana in April to compete for $25,000 in scholarship. Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarships
The Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin, a non-profit foundation of the National Society of Professional Engineers-Wisconsin (NSPE-WI), is pleased to send you information regarding our Engineering Scholarships. The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to study engineering at a four-year ABET/EAC accredited program leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering and intend to enter the profession of engineering upon graduation. WATDA
The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers is pleased to announce that scholarships will be available in 2022 for graduating high school seniors, adult students and continuing technical college students who are pursuing a career in the auto and truck industry. Current technical college students must be in their first year of a two-year program to be eligible. Scholarships consist of tuition, Snap-on Tools and employment assistance. The WATDA Foundation awards 60 to 80 scholarships per year to students attending Wisconsin Technical Colleges. Please visit the WATDA Scholarship page for more information.

Wisconsin Professional Police Association Scholarship Program
Each year the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) awards scholarships to Wisconsin students enrolling in a course of study leading to a degree in police science or criminal justice. You may complete the application via paper mail-in or online submission. View more information here

Northwood Longbeards Academic Scholarship
Northwood’s Longbeards- (local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation) will once again be giving a $500 scholarship this year. You may complete the application here. Please either print or share your document with [email protected] . The local chapter winner will then be sent in for the state competition in February, to be eligible for a larger scholarship.
